In the rapidly developing field of high resolution astronomical imaging, there are strong parallels between the interferometric methods used at radio frequencies and in the optical/infrared, despite the differences in hardware. IAU Symposium 158 brought together workers from all wavebands, to discuss the science and art of `Very High Angular Resolution Imaging'.
