This compact guide is concerned with the practical aspects of managing the individual patient with hypertension, including associated risk factors. In order to bridge the gap between the vast expanse of modern hypertension research and the every-day confrontation with the hypertensive subject in practice, an authoritative panel of scientifically oriented, but also practically involved `hypertensiologists' have been invited to present their condensed views and derived protocols.
