O knihe:

This book presents the current applications of Doppler sonography and echocardiography in neonatology and pediatrics. The basics of the physics of Doppler are illustrated in a separate chapter, while cerebral Doppler sonography in neonates, infants, and elder children is described with numerous examples. The principles of Doppler echocardiography for the neonatologist and pediatrician are illustrated by various examples. Beside normal two-dimensional imaging, color, pulsed, and continuous-wave Doppler imaging as well as all important cyanotic and non-cyanotic cardiac malformations are demonstrated. The volume covers abdominal Doppler applications of the liver, spleen, and the mesenteric and renal circulation in addition to pathologic indications. The differential diagnoses of acute scrotum and other space-occupying lesions of the testis are shown. Another indication presented in this volume is Doppler of the extremities and of soft tissue masses.
