This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th International Workshop on Cooperative Information Agents, CIA 2002, held in Madrid, Spain, in September 2002.The revised papers - 15 full and 8 short - presented together with 4 invited contributions, were carefully reviewed and selected from 59 submissions.
